How are you today?

Do you think you could feel better?  Less tired? Less achy? More happy? More healthy?

Is there something you could do today to take a step closer to a healthier version of yourself?

The reason why we are asking is we stumbled across a fact today that is genuinely shocking and saddening!  Here it is...

'Around 40% of premature mortality in the UK is caused by preventable cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease'

That's a huge percentage of the UK population that we are losing prematurely to terrible illness.  This is incredibly sad and even more so as the key word in this fact is preventable! 

The articles, where the fact is from, (Here's the links if you would like to read for yourself 12) mentions many contributing lifestyle factors but overwhelmingly it points to 4 key lifestyle choices:

- Tobacco use
- Alcohol consumption
- Poor diet
- Physical inactivity

It's incredible to think that if you make the right choices with these 4 simple things it  will certainly change your life and might just save it!

So, if you can, take some time today to look at your lifestyle and see if there are any changes you can make to be a healthier version of yourself! 

It doesn't have to be a huge overhaul of our life...start simple.  Chose 1 healthier meal, 1 less alcoholic drink, 1 extra walk, 1 more hour of sleep...the key is to START!
